This is my 1998 Honda Shadow Ace Tourer

I had not ridden in over 15 years and the last few years I was starting to get the bug again.  In 1999, we decided to start riding again and purchased a used 1984 Honda Shadow 700.  As a result of this we stumbled onto the Shadow Riders Forum on Delphi Forums on the internet.  It was here that we met some of the best riding partners that anyone could ask for.  In 2000, we decided after several thousand miles of riding that we needed a larger bike and picked up the Tourer pictured above.

For 2001 we have put over 13000 miles on the bike, including a trip to Americade and a 1000 mile Endurance Ride in 24 hours called the New England 1000.  This also qualifies for an IBA certification.

On September 8th and 9th, Richard and I did another long distance ride, called the Bun Burner 1500, it was 1500 miles in less than 36 hours.  This was also IBA Certified.

IBA LD Rides:  This link will take you to my IBA Rides page.

ROLLING THUNDER:  Lyn and I attended the 2002 & 2003 Rolling Thunder Rally in Washington DC..  We go down with the Rolling Thunder Chapter of NH.  If you would like further info, visit the New Hampshire Chapter Rolling Thunder Web Site.

LYN's New Bike!

On September 6th 2002, we upgraded Lyn's bike, selling off the old 305 Kawi and picking up a real nice 1999 Honda Shadow VLX.  It is a real beauty, fits her well and she really likes it.

Pat's New Bike!

In October of 2003, I picked up a new bike.  It is a 2000 Kawasaki Voyager.  It is a LD Tourer that I will use for longer trips and IBA type rides.  It only had 14000 miles.  I will be keeping the Shadow as a cruiser for local riding and parades and such.
