Portable Ham Radio Station

I received all the parts I needed for my Portable Ham Station.   The intent is to have an HF station I can set-up from the camper when we are out in the parks.  I have been looking to acquire an all band portable to use but have not found what I wanted for a price I was willing to pay.  I have a Yaesu FT 450D High Frequency Radio here as a spare that I will use for the time being.  I have a VHF/UHF Hand Held that I have been taking with the camper so I can still use that.

This photo shows the basic kit sitting on the table:  Includes a Buddistick Vertical HF antenna, meter, tripod, coax, power supply etc.

I also added a VHF/UHF J-Pole, some jumpers and connectors.   It all fits in a tote and can be used with the camper or even just as a remote station as long as I have power.  Eventually I will add battery power.

On July 1st, I set it all up out in the yard to test all and after some adjustments, had it all working just fine.   Looking forward to being able to use on our next camping trip….
