Ham Radio National Parks!

For those who do not know, or did not read the previous post…   2016 is the 100th Anniversary of our National Park Service. Throughout 2016, Amateur Radio will be helping the National Park Service celebrate their 100th anniversary. Hams from across the country will activate NPS units, promote the National Park Service and showcase Amateur Radio to the public.

On April 2nd, the C.A.R.S. club, Coastal Amateur Radio Society scheduled an activation at Fort Pulaski National Park.  It was my first event as a member and I had a great time.  Check April 2nd for full details and photos…

Bill again scheduled an Activation for May 14th.   I went in to Savannah and met some club members for breakfast, then headed over to the Fort.  It was a smaller group today as compared to the previous and the band conditions were not as good but we still had a good time.

There are 2 more activations coming up that I plan to attend…
