There is no good time to lose a pet, but we were getting ready to board the dogs the day after my brother’s death and Jingles was coughing up blood. Lyn ran him up to the Vet and a while later called me to see if I wanted to come up to say good bye to him. My brother’s passing had not even sunk in yet and we now had to put one of our pets to sleep.
His heart was failing and his lungs were filling with fluids. I immediately drove up to spend some time with Lyn and her Jingles. I say “Her” Jingles because he was attached to her like Velcro (we sometimes called him that!) He was forever by her side, on her lap or in the bed when she went in. He was so loving, especially to her and had anxiety if she left the house without him. He would follow her anywhere!
Only 9 years old but he had been diagnosed with an enlarged heart and was on medication. It was a sad morning but it was time, she held him close as he passed while in her arms. (we had him put to sleep).
Here are some pictures of the little guy… We Love and miss you Jingles!
